What is the O.P.S. Ed. Foundation?The Ed. Foundation is incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are an independent, community based organization dedicated to promoting and improving the quality of education and the learning environment at Oriole Park School, located at 5424 N. Oketo, Chicago, IL, 60656.
The Ed. Foundation was created to… § Meet the school’s funding needs in the face of the increasing gap between funds received from traditional sources (CPS) and what is needed to maintain and improve the excellence of the school’s programs and resources. § Provide a source of funds to manage increasing enrollments, which will require careful attention to class size and space considerations § We will provide programs and materials that our community is not able to fund with tax dollars alone. § The Ed. Foundation’s primary role is to lead the fundraising efforts for the benefit of the school. |
Why support us?
On September 5th, 2010 at the unveiling of our Legacy Walk, we presented Mr. Estrada, Principal of Oriole Park School, with a check for $25,000 which is being used to supplement salaries for the Tutoring program that benefits the whole student body, directly and indirectly. This was just the first of MANY monetary donations the Foundation has given the school.
